Scientists found super durable battery ultra-lithium battery 400 times

April 26 news, according to foreign media reports, researchers at the University of California accidentally found that gold nanowire batteries can be 400 times greater than the durability of lithium batteries. Currently, the team is looking for ways to use gold nanowire batteries instead of lithium. Most current smartphones and mobile devices use lithium batteries, and the biggest problem with lithium batteries is that as the use of time increases, endurance will gradually diminish.

Since the wearable technology and mobile devices are used more and more widely, users generally do not like the electronic devices that often need to be charged. It has been reported that Irwin's team is currently trying to solve the flammability and temperature-sensitive issues of conventional lithium batteries using liquid technology batteries.

Nanowires can hold very large amounts of energy and are an ideal battery material. Researchers at UC Irvine have developed a new type of electrolyte gel gold nanowire. The nanowire completes 200000 charge cycles with a battery capacity loss of less than 5% and no significant corrosiveness.

According to reports, scientists do not currently know why the new battery performance so efficient. Researchers at the project say they conducted a cyclic test after discovering this property of gold nanowires, and are currently not familiar with their durability and specific mechanisms.

After three months of experimentation, the experimenter found that the new battery material still retains 97% of its capacity after 1,000 charges and discharges.
